300+ paid jobs across collectors, sorters & hub staff
Waste Insure is operated by a network of trained, paid collectors — youth groups, women's SACCOs and informal waste workers — across Kampala, Wakiso and Mukono. Over 20 tonnes of plastic per day is diverted from drains, wetlands and landfills.
Communities, schools and vendors can register a route, host a drop-off point or sponsor a neighbourhood collection day.
750+ households already trading plastic for cooking credit
During our 2025 pilot, 750 households enrolled in Waste Insure — trading plastic waste for clean-cooking credits and basic health-insurance protection.
